I ca't get a good view of the dragoon's headgear, but it looks like the Tarleton helmet used by (some?) British Light Dragoons under Banastre Tarleton's command.

At any rate, they make fine additions to your AWI armies.
Cheers,
IonArchduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345470195229914785.post-12160704398694243622012-09-14T11:20:45.290+12:002012-09-14T11:20:45.290+12:00I've seen 'fall' foliage done as clump...I've seen 'fall' foliage done as clumps among the standard greenery, and that looked OK. An alternative is simply to mix some the fall foliage amongst the standard in some ration that feels right (1 to 2 or 3 maybe) so that you get the effect of scattered autumn leaves.

To be honest I haven't tried that exactly, but have taken the loose stuff from some old autumn trees that I had and mixed them in with my standard base flocking. That looks OK.
Cheers,
IonArchduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345470195229914785.post-34144674383276013722012-09-14T07:26:11.876+12:002012-09-14T07:26:11.876+12:00great work the painted figs are so good that it is...great work the painted figs are so good that it is hard to believe that they started out the way they did. great jobDaisy Gowan Ditchburnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07476802587483833107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345470195229914785.post-17813716710446614122012-09-14T04:19:51.928+12:002012-09-14T04:19:51.928+12:00I wouldn´t have thought so considering the sculpt ...I wouldn´t have thought so considering the sculpt but it´s come out looking really good..A testament to your painting skills
Cheers
paulPaul´s Bodshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07698894821198907112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345470195229914785.post-79792698431648708552012-09-14T03:10:23.625+12:002012-09-14T03:10:23.625+12:00I think you have a point about the fall flock need...I think you have a point about the fall flock needing to be broken up by other stuff on a base, I will try and figure something suitable out. As to the Lucky figures, they certainly aren't the most graceful of sculpts so I can certainly see your point regards them.Uncle Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00975932783227453858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345470195229914785.post-52330153192319597692012-09-14T01:59:29.320+12:002012-09-14T01:59:29.320+12:00Not a fan of the Lucky figures, in and of themselv...Not a fan of the Lucky figures, in and of themselves, but they painted up rather nicely. I think the fall foliage is nice for a change of pace, but I think that solid fall colors on all bases would be too much. Just my 2 cents.Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15428727065347379281noreply@blogger.com
