It has been a very busy time for me since I last made a post. I have accepted a job in a different part of the country and as a result I am preparing my toys for moving. It does seem to be the season for people to be moving in Christchurch, as Frank is also moving to a different city as well and selling off some of his stash of 1/72 scale kits.
Check out his auctions here. He may also be listing some scenery items so keep an eye on this link.
I hope you will continue to blog.
ReplyDeleteHi Tsold, So do I! , but I think postings may be a little less until I get back in the swing of things!
DeleteThis burg ain't going to be the same...
ReplyDeleteThe ships and the bufflers are ready to go. I stuffed up one of the latter (actually I had done it right, thought I had got it wrong on account of a bad diagram, and 'fixed' the 'mistake'). It would be a much easier kit to assemble with better quality diagram instructions...
I was going to do crows' nests in the ships, but decided against it as it was clear that it would be very hard to get it right. Had some trouble finding guns for the polacre, but they have been mounted. I don't know how secure they are, though...
Enjoy your new job, Brian, I reckon you've drawn a winner there.
Cheers,
Ion
Thanks Ion,
DeleteThe ships look amazing - I am very happy with them! Sorry I wasn't able to catch up with you again before leaving but I ran out of time! I will be coming down to visit so I will let you know when I am down next!
Good luck with the move.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sean! I hate moving so I certainly need the good luck!
DeleteWell done on the new job Brian. I've already purchased some of Franks items and if you need to sell anything let me know :).
ReplyDeleteThanks! Unlike Frank I am trying not to downsize! I still have to get a set of Esci Japanese to you though!
DeleteGood news Brian. All the best for the new adventure.
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul! Now I just have to move the wife, the model hoard, and the library up north!
